Located on the Plateau of Granada, to the south of Sierra de Cazorla. All between three natural parks and surounded by four lakes. The landscape varies from forests with rivers and waterfalls to semi-desert terrain. The caves, which are excavated in the hills, enjoy a constant temperature (18-20 degrees) all year round. The tranquillity is a total contrast to the noisy urban world.

Between three natural parks, south of Cazorla and Castril (12Km.), north of Baza (50Km.) you will find.
The complex is surrounded by four lakes: Bolera, Portillo, San Clemente and Negratín. The landscape allows access to numerous footpahts, natural forests, rivers and waterfalls. The picturesque landscape is varied with contrasting areas of abundant vegetation and semi-desert terrain, with outstanding views. From Seville, Malaga and Granada join the A-92. Follow it through and when you pass the Guadix junction take the next exit, signposted Embalse de Negratin. Follow the road throungh the towns of Cuevas del Campo, Pozo Alcon and Campocamara. The next village is La Teja. From the east (La Teja is 2 hours from Murcia and 2.5 hours from Alicante) Join the A-92 in the Granada direction. Follow it until you reach either junction for Cullar or Baza. Follow the road through the towns of Benamaurel and Cortes de Baza. A further 7km on you will reach the Caves houses of La Teja. |

A map of the region is available to each guest which indicates places of special tourist interest. It also showa auggested routes to make both on foot andd by car. Different levels of difficulty are shown (from 0 to 8). These routes include the Natural Parks of Cazorla, Castril and Sierra de Baza. Swimming: - We have our own pool at La Teja, There also large public pools at Castillejar and Cullar (25km). - Baños Termales de Zújar y Baños de Alicún de las Torres Places to visit: - Traditional Olive oil factory in Campocamara - Botanical garden (Cazorla Natural Park) - Tiscar sanctuary and water caves - Mountain peaks (highest 2028m) - Birht of the river Guadalquivir - Guazalamanco stream - Negratin reservoir and the Lake Bolera dam - Visitors centre in Castril - Lake San Clemente fish farm - Orce museum, Jabalcon, Etc. For shorter walks you can freely wander around our own surrounding. We have donkeys, available for rides, and other animals all belonging to La Teja. A holiday both adults and children will never forget. On occasions we organise barbeques / Paellas for all our guests - for a true taste of Spain. |

This rural complex consists of only nine cave houses, all recently restored, with traditional décor. All are perfectly equipped and include an open fire, fitted kitchen and bathroom, TV, barbeque, outside table and chairs and ample parking. There is also a swimming pool on the complex. Everything you need to make your stay unforgettable. We have a restaurant and supermarket just 10 min. away in Campocamara. You can enjoy typical meals of the area: Migas, rabbit, fried trout, croquettes, fried goat, partridge, garlic rabbit, pork, lamb, roscas (large bread rings) with your own choice of fillings. You can be assured of exceptional service and quality. All the above meals are cooked to order. There is also a daily menu. |
